SICHE Shootout and Summer Educational Event

McClure Engineering had a great time at SICHE’s Summer Educational Event and Shootout, earning third place and sharing insights on healthcare acoustics.

McClure Engineering was proud to take part in the 10th Annual SICHE Summer Educational Event and Shootout, held in Sparta, Illinois. Hosted by the Southern Illinois Chapter for Healthcare Engineering (SICHE), the annual event brought industry professionals together for a day of networking, education, and friendly competition.

One of the day’s standout moments came during the shooting competition, where the McClure Engineering team earned an impressive third-place finish. The achievement added an exciting note to the event and reflected the camaraderie and teamwork that continue to define McClure Engineering both inside and outside the workplace.

The event also featured an educational lunch presentation by McClure Engineering Acoustical Engineer Jared Carrier, P.E., who spoke about acoustic considerations for healthcare facilities. His presentation highlighted the important role acoustics play in supporting patient comfort, privacy, and the overall performance of healthcare environments, offering attendees valuable insight into a topic that is often overlooked but essential to quality facility design.
