Float Trip 2026
Lazing on a Friday Afternoon, Floating Down the Meramec River.

Ask any McClurian what perk they love the most and odds are they will say our annual Float Trip. A paid day off to float languidly down the Meramec River, watch braver comrades dive off a cliff, submerge into a cold spring, and sink our teeth into a delicious BBQ spread? Yes please!
While last year was peppered with rain, this year we had a perfect summer day. Clear blue skies and toasty temps, it was the ideal day to float. We had our choice of canoes, kayaks, and rafts, and headed out for a lazy float. There were our regulars who never miss a float even if it is raining, our interns getting a lesson in our award-winning company culture, and making their 2nd appearance, our pirate clan that this marketing coordinator has dubbed the McClure Marooners.
After stopping for lunch and our usual cliff diving and cold spring shenanigans, we headed back to camp for a scrumptious BBQ spread curated by lead chef Anuj Bhargava and his trusty sous chefs Nick Allen, Shannon Gilligan, Caleb Hill, and Brandon Amos. Serving Shrimp Tacos, Korean BBQ Pork Tacos, Tandoori Chicken, Grilled Mushrooms, Hot Pineapple, and other tasty treats, our BBQ crew really outdid themselves this year!
Alas the day had to end at some point but there is always next year to look forward to! And for our newbies who didn’t want to leave? Rough it out next year with our seasoned campers. And my “rough it out” I mean glamping in a large RV complete with kitchen and bathroom for your recreational convenience.
