Pedaling for a Cause: McClure Engineering’s Ride to Fight MS
Our Journey at the 2025 Bike MS: Gateway Getaway.

McClure Engineering is thrilled to share highlights from our participation in the annual Bike MS: Gateway Getaway Bike Ride, a powerful event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts communication within the brain and between the brain and body. Its symptoms can be unpredictable, ranging from numbness and tingling to vision loss and even paralysis. Living with MS presents unique daily challenges, but thanks to the unwavering support of the National MS Society, hope and help are never far away as the search for a cure continues.
Since 2010, our McClure Engineering team has pedaled with purpose, logging more than 13,000 miles and helping to raise over $77,000 for the St. Louis Chapter of the National MS Society. This year, we kept that momentum going strong. On September 6th, our team set out for a two-day adventure along the scenic limestone bluffs of the Great River Road. One of the highlights of our ride was a heartfelt stop at the home of retired mechanical designer Denise Reynolds, who set up a rest station to cheer us on and provide much-needed refreshments, a true testament to the community spirit that defines this event.
We began our fundraising efforts with an ambitious goal of $10,000. Thanks to incredible support, we exceeded that target in record time and have now raised the bar to $13,500. As of today, we’ve reached $13,272.13, and we’re so close to our new goal. If you would like to support groundbreaking MS research and vital programs for individuals and families impacted by this disease, please consider making a contribution. Every dollar brings us one step closer to a world free of MS.
