McClure Olympics Water Challenge

Hydration, Team Spirit, and Ice Baths!: How Our Employees Smashed the Water Drinking Milestone and Had a Blast Doing It.

This August, the McClure Engineering team took on a refreshingly ambitious challenge: the Olympics Water Challenge! The goal? To encourage our employees to drink one gallon of water each week, promoting healthy habits and a little friendly competition along the way.

But we didn’t stop at just counting ounces. To make things even more exciting, the Wellness Committee promised that if our company hit a set milestone, a few lucky (or unlucky?) employees would get dunked in an ice bath for all to see. As the challenge heated up, our teams rallied behind their water bottles and hydration goals.

The results were nothing short of spectacular. Over the course of four weeks, McClure Engineering employees collectively consumed an impressive 747 gallons of water! The mechanical team led the charge, downing 337 gallons, followed by the electrical team with 262 gallons, and the administrative team with 143 gallons. Talk about teamwork!

And yes, everyone on the dunking list took the plunge—including a surprise appearance from our new COO, Lisa, who bravely joined the ranks of ice bath honorees. The cheers and laughter that emanated from the penthouse proved just how much fun our team can have while working toward a healthy goal.

Individual achievements also stood out. Seth Marton topped the leaderboard by drinking an astonishing 64 gallons of water, followed by Pat Travers with 42 gallons, and yours truly, Rohan Newton, with 39 gallons.

Drinking water is vital for energy, focus, and overall wellness. This year, we wanted to make hydration a shared journey, and judging by the results, the McClure Olympics Water Challenge was a resounding success. Here’s to staying hydrated, supporting each other, and making wellness a part of our company culture!
