The Emme Foundation Sunshine Classic

Honoring the motto #BeLikeEmme and leaving the world better than we found it.

On August 7th, several of our team members participated in Inaugural Sunshine Classic, a golfing tournament to raise money for the Emme Foundation.

The Emme Foundation was started by Principal Austin Strieker, P.E., and his family in honor of their daughter. The Emme Foundation honors Emme’s legacy by transforming kindness into action through charitable giving, community partnerships, and scholarships that support resilient individuals and compassionate local students. Its mission is to honor Emme’s life and legacy by encouraging others to live by the motto: Leave the World Better Than You Found It.

In addition to hitting the green, the day also featured a “best dressed” contest, voted on by volunteers. Leave it to the McClure Engineering team of Shaun Brooks, Louis Meyer, Matt Costantinou, and Mark Wehmeyer to snag the top honor with their colorful shirts sprinkled with unicorns, caticorns, rainbows, donuts, and more.

At McClure Engineering, community is a core value that we demonstrate by showing up for one another. By supporting the Sunshine Classic, our team proudly helped advance the Emme Foundation’s mission to leave the world better than we found it.
