Meet Sarah Leister, P.E., a Mechanical Engineer who joined McClure Engineering in 2019. Sarah is a shining example of the young talent we have nurtured, and her achievements reflect the company’s commitment to career development.

Sarah has been a remarkable addition to our team and stands out as one of the younger employees who achieved their Professional Engineer License in the past year. Her choice to join McClure Engineering was significantly shaped by our robust mentorship program, which set her on the path to attaining her P.E. license. She explains, “The mentoring program here provided the foundation and support I needed to exceed my own expectations. Achieving my P.E. and becoming a Professional Engineer was a significant milestone for me.”

Apart from our mentorship program, Sarah thrives in our collaborative and knowledge-rich environment. She finds inspiration in the collective desire of her colleagues to continually learn and enhance their engineering skills. It’s this daily motivation that keeps her passionate about her work.

Sarah is not only an exceptional engineer but also a valued member of our Volunteer Activity Committee (VAC). She enjoys the social aspect of our office culture, where employees come together to organize events, unwind, share a beer, and discuss life beyond work. “I love creating opportunities for our team to relax, connect, and discuss the happenings in our lives,” says Sarah.

At McClure Engineering, we understand the importance of work/life balance, which played a pivotal role in Sarah’s decision to call our company her home. This balance allows her to pursue her other passion: food. Sarah has explored over 200 local restaurants in the St. Louis area and is always ready to recommend a new eatery to colleagues who want to kickstart their weekend on a Friday evening.
