Meet Dariana Johnson, who came on board in November 2023 as a Business Operations Specialist. Dariana hit the ground running and has been at the forefront of many projects over the past year. Of particular note is her pivotal role in creating our internal company intranet aimed at streamlining onboarding processes and ensuring employees are well-informed and engaged with company activities.

Dariana was drawn to McClure Engineering by its culture and growth opportunities. Despite initially having limited knowledge of engineering—which she found a bit daunting—her first year affirmed she made the right choice. “Everyone here is supportive and always ready to provide the tools needed to excel, no matter the task’s size. I truly appreciate that.” Moreover, Dariana values the company’s dedication to community and work-life balance, acknowledging mutual respect for each other’s time, both within and outside the office.

Currently pursuing an MBA at Washington University, Dariana deeply values the employee benefits package, particularly tuition reimbursement. “With strong values for continuous learning, I know my graduate studies will enhance my current work. As a Business Operations Specialist, Dariana’s responsibilities are diverse. Lately, she has been infusing company pride and culture into initiatives like selecting items for the Apparel Store, aiding McClure 101 workshop presentations, and highlighting the company’s rich history throughout the office. She finds joy in integrating company culture into her efforts.

Outside of work, Dariana loves spending time with family and friends, discovering new restaurants, and indulging her passion for the arts—whether it’s music, art, or fashion. She enjoys visiting the latest exhibits at the Saint Louis Art Museum, collecting records, attending concerts, drawing, and reading whenever possible. She’s particularly excited about an upcoming Mariah Carey concert in November.
