Wellness Challenge Success Ends with an Icy Celebration
McClure Engineering crushed its wellness goals—then took the plunge.

At McClure Engineering, wellness is more than a yearly initiative. It’s an ongoing commitment. Throughout the year, our Wellness Committee hosts monthly wellness challenges designed to encourage employees to stay active, prioritize their health, and have fun along the way. From fitness competitions to team-building activities, each challenge offers a new opportunity for employees to support their well-being while connecting with coworkers.
For the month of August, the Wellness Committee doubled down on healthy habits by hosting two popular challenges: the Hydration Challenge and the Steps Challenge. Employees tracked their daily water intake and steps throughout the month, motivating one another to stay moving and stay hydrated.
The results were nothing short of impressive.
This year, participants combined for 14,129,538 steps and 127,565.20 ounces of water consumed, surpassing last year’s totals and demonstrating the incredible enthusiasm employees bring to wellness initiatives. These accomplishments reflect the healthy competition, accountability, and teamwork that have become hallmarks of McClure’s wellness culture.
To celebrate the successful completion of both challenges, the Wellness Committee took the festivities to the Penthouse for a memorable Cold Plunge event. Braving an ice bath in honor of everyone’s hard work were Shaun B, Kyle G, Matt C, Ashley S, Nick G, Kurtis A, and Louis M. The volunteers embraced the icy challenge with enthusiasm, providing plenty of laughs and cheers for spectators while commemorating another successful month of wellness programming. Information about the planned cold plunge and volunteers was documented by the Wellness Committee.
The August challenges are another example of how McClure Engineering continues to make employee wellness a priority. Whether logging steps, drinking more water, or taking an icy plunge for the team, employees consistently demonstrate a commitment to healthy living and creating a workplace culture that supports one another.
Here’s to another successful challenge and many more wellness wins ahead.
