Congratulations to Curtis Bockenstette, who recently achieved his Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) certification.
Congratulations to Mechanical Designer Curtis Bockenstette, who has recently achieved his Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) certification. Curtis’s dedication to obtaining this certification is evident in his commitment to both his professional growth and exceeding client expectations.
“I believe that certification showcases to our clients that we possess the necessary skills to not only meet but exceed their needs and expectations,” Curtis remarked. He also recognized the value of the certification tests, as they have helped him identify areas for improvement. This commitment to self-improvement aligns seamlessly with our company’s emphasis on continuous career development.
Curtis, with over two decades of experience in his field, joined our team in December 2021. While primarily based in Kansas and working remotely, he spends one week a month at the office. Although navigating a remote work environment can be challenging, Curtis has seamlessly integrated into our culture-focused atmosphere. He expresses genuine gratitude for the warm embrace he’s received as a part of the McClure Engineering family.
Our distinctive and award-winning company culture is a standout feature for Curtis, whether he’s working from the office or his Kansas home. He particularly relishes our health-oriented contests such as the “Biggest Loser,” walking challenges, and hydration competitions. Additionally, our weekly “Popcorn Wednesday” sessions provide a delightful opportunity for employees to unwind and socialize.
Beyond the enjoyable aspects, Curtis places great value on our weekly “lunch and learn” sessions held every Wednesday. These sessions not only contribute to skill development but also foster meaningful relationships among team members. Furthermore, Curtis appreciates our utilization of flow diagrams. He emphasized, “The use of flow diagrams has significantly enhanced my ability to conceptualize system operations and design accurate plans.”
When Curtis isn’t excelling in his professional endeavors, he can often be found immersed in a good book or audiobook during his brisk walks. His shared passion for J.R.R. Tolkien’s works with fellow enthusiast and Electrical Specialist Matt Meyers would undoubtedly spark engaging conversations about “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings.” Currently, Curtis is engrossed in the Forgotten Realms series, specifically “Abolethic Sovereignty.” His love for literature aligns well with the company’s diverse group of book enthusiasts, prompting the establishment of a convenient library on the 6th floor—a treasure trove for fellow bookworms.
What do you like about our company culture?
“I am very thankful for how the people at McClure Engineering have made me feel welcome and part of the family. Additionally, as part of an employee owned company, the stock ownership plan gives me the feeling of being invested in the company and being more than “just” and employee.” – Curtis Bockenstette
