2024 IES Illumination Awards

Celebrating Excellence in Lighting Design: A Shining Achievement for Our Team.

Congratulations are in order for our lighting team, who recently won a section award at this year’s Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Awards!

The IES Awards program honors individuals for their professionalism, ingenuity, and originality in lighting design, based on the individual merit of each entry. The judging panel is composed of a diverse group of professionals, each bringing extensive knowledge of lighting and design excellence to the table.

We are thrilled to announce that the lighting design for UMSL’s College of Optometry, led by the talented Shannon Whitten, has been awarded the Edwin F. Guth Award for Interior Lighting Design Section Award. This prestigious recognition celebrates interior lighting projects that not only fulfill the functional illumination of space but also artistically apply light to enhance the overall experience of its occupants.

This accolade is a testament to the dedication and creativity of our lighting team. Their work exemplifies how thoughtful and innovative lighting design can transform environments, creating spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Shannon Whitten and the entire lighting team for this accomplishment. Their success is a shining example of excellence in the field of lighting design.
