SIH Slice of Life Golf Tournament Drives Mental Health Forward

Making a Difference for Southern Illinois Mental Health Care

As we embrace this season of gratitude, we pause to reflect on the remarkable difference made by the 30^th Annual SIH Slice of Life event, held on September 26th. Thanks to the heartfelt support of local companies like McClure Engineering through sponsorships, participation, and encouragement, this gathering became far more than a day on the links. It transformed into a powerful force for change for those in our community urgently needing mental health care near home.

All proceeds from the tournament were dedicated to expanding the SIH Mulberry Center in Harrisburg. Each year, more than 700 Southern Illinois residents must travel long distances to Springfield, Chicago, or even out of state for essential psychiatric care. These journeys are especially challenging in times of crisis, often separating patients from their families and support systems. Together, we are striving to remove these obstacles and ensure care is available right here at home.

McClure Engineering is proud to support SIH’s mission to enhance the Mulberry Center. Our collective efforts at this year’s tournament played a vital role in moving this noble cause forward, bringing hope and healing closer to countless individuals in our region.
