Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital Summer Camp Volunteering

Building Community through Hands-On Learning and Lasting Connections.

This summer, McClure Engineering continued its tradition of community engagement through a vibrant and impactful partnership with Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital. Our ongoing volunteer initiatives and outreach activities have earned McClure Engineering recognition as one of Ranken Jordan’s Mission Partners, and we couldn’t be more honored. Focused on supporting children with complex medical needs, our collaboration is not just about volunteering, it is about forging relationships and building a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Throughout recent years, our teams have eagerly participated in hands-on activities, educational demonstrations, and outreach events. These efforts have not only strengthened our bond with Ranken Jordan but have also reinforced the values that define our organization: compassion, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to service. Our volunteers, both new and returning, bring enthusiasm and energy to every event, making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.

A highlight of our summer was participating in Ranken Jordan’s new Adventure ReimaginED Summer Camp, a cornerstone event that exemplifies our shared dedication to experiential learning and meaningful connection. Spanning four uniquely themed days, the camp offered campers immersive opportunities to discover, create, and connect with both peers and mentors.

On Day 1, a Beach Theme set the stage for “Watery Wonders,” where campers experimented with a Sink or Float Lab, Density Rainbow Towers, and building their own lava lamps. Day 2 brought the Disney Theme to life with “Magical Forces of Nature,” a lineup of activities including Magical Rainclouds, Whirlwinds of Wonder, and a Rainbow Eruption. Day 3 launched into a Space Theme featuring a Magnetic Test Lab, Magnetic-Powered Rockets, and Mission to the Moon! The camp concluded with a Patriotic Theme on Day 4, where campers experimented with Sparkler Circuits, Patriotic Slime, Dixie Cup Rockets, and Glitter Firework Explosions.

Each day brought forth engaging experiments, creative projects, and lively interactions, inspiring curiosity and joy in every participant. A special thank you goes out to all the volunteers who participated in this event.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to supporting Ranken Jordan’s mission and to strengthening the spirit of generosity within our community. We invite everyone – colleagues, partners, and neighbors alike – to join us in this rewarding journey of giving back, learning together, and making lasting memories.
