PIE Day 2026: Sweet Success at McClure Engineering!

Raising Spirits, Funds, and a Few Pies for a Great Cause.

McClure Engineering recently celebrated a PIE Day that was bigger, bolder, and more impactful than ever! The adventure kicked off in late February, when our team set a lofty fundraising goal of $1,600, all in support of a cause close to our hearts. The challenge? For every donation milestone achieved, a member of our leadership team would take a pie to the face!

The response from our colleagues was nothing short of incredible. By the end of our initial fundraising drive, we had more than doubled our target, collecting an impressive $3,580. That meant every leader on our “pie list” was guaranteed a gooey moment in the spotlight.

But the festivities didn’t stop there! On PIE Day, excitement filled the air as we hosted a live auction, giving participants the chance to bid for the honor of pieing our daring volunteers. The friendly competition raised an additional $2,130, pushing our grand total to a staggering $5,710. $800 of that total was specifically for the chance to pie Shaun Brooks. Multiple people bid so that is son, Shaun Brooks II, could honor his father with a pie to the face. A true showing of loyalty and love.

Every dollar raised will be donated to CHADS Coalition for Mental Health, a nonprofit dedicated to preventing depression and suicide by providing evidence-based counseling, education, and support for youth, families, and communities. Their vital services, both in schools and online, help foster awareness, build coping skills, and strengthen resilience. We were especially grateful to have representatives from CHADS join us for this memorable occasion.

None of this would have been possible without the enthusiasm and generosity of our participants, donors, and, of course, the brave volunteers who took a pie for a purpose. And the fun isn’t over yet! For those team members who missed PIE Day (something about “meetings”—we’ll see about that!), we’re planning a special Happy Hour on March 26th. It’s another chance to raise more funds and make sure no one escapes the festivities unscathed. Stay tuned for more splashes, more smiles, and even greater impact!
