A Heartfelt Farewell to Matt Struckel

Celebrating 26 Years of Dedication and Excellence.

Today, we have the bittersweet task of announcing the departure of Matt Struckel from McClure Engineering after an impressive 26 years of dedicated service.

Matt began his journey with us as an Electrical Engineer in 1999 and quickly became a cornerstone of the Electrical Department. Throughout his tenure, he has contributed to over 1100 projects, leaving a lasting impact on the many teams and clients he has worked with. From school projects with Hoener Architects to large-scale endeavors for Washington University, healthcare projects for Southern Illinois Healthcare System, and collaborations with organizations like the School Sisters of Notre Dame and the St. Louis Science Center, Matt’s expertise and dedication have shone through.

For the past 15 years, Matt has been a key figure in our work with Nestle, where his daily contributions have been invaluable. His role extended beyond project work, as he also helped establish the office Electrical Design standards that we use today and served as a member of the LLC overseeing the our office building, Cupples One.

Matt’s presence in the office will be missed. His wit, dedication, eye for detail, ownership, and willingness to help others have made a significant difference in our work environment and the quality of projects we deliver to our clients.

While we are saddened to see Matt go, we are excited for him as he embarks on this new chapter of his career. Please join us in thanking Matt for his unwavering dedication to McClure Engineering and in wishing him all the best in his new role at Washington University. Your future endeavors are sure to be just as successful and impactful as your time with us, Matt.

Thank you for everything, Matt, and good luck!
