Since joining the firm in 1995, Eric Schactman began his career with the firm as a Mechanical Engineer, working on projects including K-12 schools, equipment replacements, recreational centers, and central plant system design. After receiving his MBA in 2000, Eric took on the role of CFO overseeing finance and accounting, human resources, information technology, office administration and marketing. He received his B.S.M.E. and M.S.M.E. from Washington University, his M.B.A. from the University of Maryland and holds his P.E. in the state of Missouri. Wearing many hats, Eric demonstrates his versatility by sitting on the Technology Committee, 401K Advisory Committee, Health & Wellness Committee and Volunteer Activities Committee.
The core principles of the firm are engineering fundamentals and energy conservation. However, a strong entrepreneurial character permeates our culture, which provides avenues for exploration, growth, and development. This has allowed me flexibility to add value while focusing on areas of interest – a rewarding combination.
