Aerospace Campus Building 95 Replacement
Confidential Client – St. Louis, Missouri
Project Background
The project was to replace the building used for radar testing in Missouri. The existing 1,600 sq. ft. building was demolished (by others). McClure Engineering performed the design team project management, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design for demolition and the construction of the new 3,400 sq. ft. We teamed with Fox Architects (architectural design scope), CDI (civil engineering scope of work), and Larson Engineering (structural engineering scope of work).
Project Deliverables
McClure Engineering was involved in the design of the permanent 3,400 sq. ft. building and site work based on the client concept plan, transition of utilities from Phase 1 to the permanent location, and the movement of operations, systems, assets, and equipment from interim facilities to permanent facilities. One objective of the new facility was to design a building that will not interfere with or influence the radar testing.
The project included the following unique items in the design: a fire suppression system, secure storage, storm shelter, and design for a flood plain.
