We’re excited to announce that McClure Engineering has been recognized as a finalist on the 2025 Healthiest Employers of St. Louis list, ranking 7th in the 50–499 employees category!
Mental Health Matters
At McClure Engineering, mental wellness is a priority. Our annual Float Trip (with a paid day off for participants), Bring Your Dog to Work Days, Chili Cook Offs, Eating Challenges, and festive Holiday Parties are just the beginning. We host charitable events like PIE Day, where superiors get pied in the face to raise money for good causes, plus Popcorn Wednesdays, Summer Penthouse Happy Hours, and complimentary sodas, juice, coffee, and tea. Our calendar is packed with activities that help our team de-stress, connect, and have fun together.
Through our Employee Assistance Program (PAS), team members have confidential access 24/7 to counseling, assessments, and resources for personal issues, including referrals for employees and their families. PAS also visits the office, bringing presentations like last month’s “The Happiness Advantage,” where Melissa Baumgartner shared insights from positive psychology and practical strategies to boost happiness and well-being, both at work and at home.
Supporting Physical Health
Physical wellness gets plenty of attention, too. We offer semi-monthly massages, provide a $300 annual wellness reimbursement, and host annual flu shots. Employee-led initiatives and our Wellness Committee’s signature McClure Olympics help motivate everyone to get moving. This year’s Olympics featured challenges around steps, strength training, mental acuity, and water consumption, culminating in a Water Challenge where team leaders braved ice-cold water on our Penthouse!
Joining our sports teams, like the championship Softball team and new Volleyball team, keeps us active outside work. In 2025, we expanded our gym to include a larger weight training area, a multi-purpose room for yoga and cardio classes, and two golf simulators for our golf enthusiasts. Daily gym sessions and a female-led lunchtime workout every Monday make it easy for everyone to stay fit.
Financial Health and Education
We help employees stay financially healthy through a robust 401(k), Stock Purchase Program, Health and Flexible Savings Accounts, and regular engagement with our brokerage firm, including presentations and one-on-one sessions. These resources help our team navigate changing economic landscapes and plan for a secure financial future.
Work/Life Integration
Finally, we know balance is key. Our flexible hours, generous Paid Time Off (including the week between Christmas and New Year’s), Paid Parental Leave, and Adoption Assistance help our employees thrive both at work and at home.
