This $4.5 million project included the renovation of a 31,000 square foot, four-level science building.
Project Deliverables
This project included research wet labs, offices, machine shop, hot equipment testing lab and a perchloric lab hood within the chemistry lab area. The HVAC systems included the use of energy recovery, VAV hood exhaust with occupancy and sash position controls, process chilled water loop and separate air handling unit for the administrative offices. These systems were the first conceived to utilize the low temperature campus-wide geothermal system for heating and cooling.
