Project Background
McClure Engineering provided the complete design of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, acoustical, audio-visual and theatrical as well as commissioning for the project. The mechanical system was designed to be low noise, energy efficient, reliable, and comfortable. The electrical and low voltage system was designed for reliable and flexible operation with considerations for future equipment. The building contains its own chiller and boilers.
Project Deliverables
The project included audio-video design and architectural acoustics for the main house and “black-box” theaters and multi-purpose facilities as well as support for architectural materials, acoustical treatment, and sound reinforcement for theatrical events, orchestra, concerts, and classroom lectures. Engineering was provided to address transmitted noise issues and HVAC-generated background noise. Isolation rooms were designed for music practice rooms including an isolated percussion practice room.
