Conner Weiss
Mechanical

Conner Weiss came started at McClure Engineering in January 2020 straight after graduating from the University of Missouri – Columbia with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Starting just at the cusp of the COVID-19 epidemic, Conner’s introduction to office life was short-lived and he spent the majority of the next two years working remotely before coming back to the office with the rest of the company in the spring of 2022. Despite the weird start, he hit the ground running, and we are happy to have him as part of our team!
Now a couple of years into his career at McClure Engineering, Conner has come to appreciate the importance we put on teamwork and mentoring. There is nothing a fresh recruit appreciates more than their more seasoned team member’s willingness to drop what they’re doing and answer whatever questions they have.
Conner chose to come to McClure Engineering because of our reputation for workplace flexibility, the variety of work, and the extracurricular activities available. And while those extracurricular activities had to be put on hold during quarantine, Conner is now in the thick having debuted on our Softball team last spring.
And he is a great addition to our winning softball team because Conner loves to move. Snow skiing and wakeboarding are favorites, but if you are exploring local parks you might catch him on some rollerblades trying not to fall!
My favorite aspects of McClure Engineering are everyone’s willingness to drop what they’re doing and answer whatever question I’ve come up and playing on the softball team. It’s been great finally getting on the field after my 2020 debut was delayed. Now I just need Scott to move me up in the order!
