Campus Utility & Master Planning
Truman State University – Kirksville, Missouri
Project Background
This project consisted of an engineering survey, evaluation, and master planning effort for the general mechanical utilities (chilled water and steam) and medium voltage (5 and 15kv) infrastructure systems for 30 buildings on campus.
Project Deliverables
The overall study included a survey of the existing campus utility infrastructure (physically/visually and via existing documents) in order to provide reliable documentation as to the routings of these systems. A master plan was developed to address anticipated replacement/upgrade of these systems to address system deficiencies, operational limitations and meet the long-term needs of the campus. This master plan also involved the development of planned projects consisting of scope summaries and cost opinions to permit long-term planning and budgeting.
