Aerospace Engineering Campus Demolition

Confidential Client – St. Louis, Missouri

Project Background

This project consisted of the complete demolition of a three-building complex known as the Engineering Campus. We teamed with Fox Architects (architectural design scope), CDI (civil engineering scope of work), and Larson Engineering (structural engineering scope of work).

Project Deliverables

The complex was constructed in the 1950s and is not fully accessible. The client would incur extensive costs to address the numerous ADA compliance shortfalls so it was decided that the complex would be demolished. McClure Engineering provided demolition and abatement services for Buildings Building 32, Levels 1 thru 3 (64,487 gross sq. ft.), Building 33, Levels 1 thru 6 (186,819 gross sq. ft.), and Building 34, Levels 1 thru 3 (74,012 gross sq. ft.). Our job included the identification, disconnection, and capping, where necessary, of all utility services to the complex.
